Your mission
Technology Development: Plastics to chemical intermediates. Build and refine end-to-end gas-liquid / gas-solid processes, starting from the dosing of plastic waste streams, identifying the right reaction conditions, until aevoloop’s key intermediates are formed. This includes liaising with external C(D)MOs and raw material suppliers while ensuring timelines, budgets, and risk management are met.
End-to-End ownership of the process. Play an active role in building a reactor according to the design you draft with your team. Collect all data, process them and draw the respective conclusion. You will directly report to the management team and will discuss the results with them.
Define and lead the strategy to scale up aevoloop’s innovative process for upcycling plastic waste streams into the building blocks for our novel polyester-based plastics. Reach a 50 kg/day batch process.
Perform techno-economic assessments, process simulations, and mass and energy balance calculations in order to identify the ideal upcycling process.
Lead, empower and further develop the interdisciplinary plastic waste upcycling team of chemists, and chemical and engineering technicians.
Ensure SHEQ and sustainability standards are met in all laboratory, pilot and production activities, with a focus on HAZOP analysis and process safety.
