Teamlead Fine Chemicals (f/m/d)

Your mission

Join aevoloop, one of Europe’s fast-scaling deep-tech startups, and help build pioneering next-generation plastics by leading scalable purification processes from lab-scale experimentation to industrial validation.

  • Lead a R&D team to develop a scalable purification process for innovative, sustainable building blocks to be used as feedstock for our novel polyester-based plastics

  • Develop downstreaming strategies based on multi 100 gram lab scale experiments to isolate different product streams as fine chemicals to fuel aevoloop’s product development

  • Validate your devised strategies with upscaling trials at CDMOs to create end-to-end processes for purifying complex product mixtures into pure fine chemicals

  • Develop analytical methods to assess the properties and purity of the input and output streams to derive product specifications

  • Collaborate closely with the management team and the upstream and downstream R&D teams

  • Document your work and make use of modern digital tools for maximum data efficiency

Your profile

  • Degree in Organic Chemistry, Technical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Ideally, you have a PhD in this field

  • Several years of industrial experience in synthesis and/or purification of fine chemicals

  • Proven track record in project management and successful implementation of processes/syntheses

  • Proficiency in analytical instrumentation and data interpretation. Ideally experienced with cGMP, ISO 9001, or equivalent quality systems

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); German language skills are advantageous

  • You bring a hands-on mindset, structure your work efficiently, and collaborate seamlessly across disciplines – even under the dynamics of a fast-paced start-up environment
